If you like fairy tales you'll like this one. It is a modern day interpretation of the Cinderella story. Ted is a bit disgruntled with his Mum and is looking forward to attending the school dance with his best mate. Suddenly he can't go due to his mum having another commitment so she arranges him a babysitter, but she's no ordinary babysitter. Ted suddenly finds himself wearing dress which he can't get rid of until he breaks the spell. Whatever is he going to do? This story is a quick read and the text is accompanied by quirky illustrations by Craig Smith. Author Nette Hilton has a great website if you want to know more about her and her books. http://www.nettehilton.com.au/
This blog contains reviews and comments on children's books which I own, have read, and would like to share. I look for books at markets and opportunity shops. They are cleaned up, covered and read. Then I take them to the classroom for students to read. Students can borrow the books at any time. Many books are also from my personal library, especially the Youth Fiction. Students can preview some of them on this blog. Now, I am also on the lookout for great new releases for my grandson Archie.
