Once you start reading this book you won't be able to put it down. If you like the Guinness Book of Records you will enjoy reading about these extreme and very bizarre records. There is a page all about the fastest sandwich made by human feet, one on the most poisonous edible fish, the fastest furniture(a speedy sofa!) and the loudest snore and loudest burp. Did you know there is a dog called Augie who can hold five tennis balls in his mouth, an elephant orchestra, and a moustache which measures 1-97 metres...imagine blowing your nose with that hanging around. How many worms do you think you could eat in 30 seconds? Well, C.Manharan, or Snake Manu, as his friends call him, can eat two hundred 10cm long worms. Do you think you could pull a Boeing 747-400 weighing 187 tonnes? Well Australian David Huxley accomplished this feat, pulling the plane 91 metres in one minute. I wonder what he eats for breakfast! If you like reading about stunts like these, then you will definitely enjoy this book.
This blog contains reviews and comments on children's books which I own, have read, and would like to share. I look for books at markets and opportunity shops. They are cleaned up, covered and read. Then I take them to the classroom for students to read. Students can borrow the books at any time. Many books are also from my personal library, especially the Youth Fiction. Students can preview some of them on this blog. Now, I am also on the lookout for great new releases for my grandson Archie.
