New to the fun stuff shelves is this entertaining little book about Garfield. It's just perfect for a light-hearted read. So if you want a break from your challenging novel, why not pick this up and have a chuckle? The key to Garfield's personality is not that he is and old grouch and extremely slothful, but his determination to be as lazy as possible. Whether he is face-planting into his food, or annoying Odie he will bring a smile to your face.
This blog contains reviews and comments on children's books which I own, have read, and would like to share. I look for books at markets and opportunity shops. They are cleaned up, covered and read. Then I take them to the classroom for students to read. Students can borrow the books at any time. Many books are also from my personal library, especially the Youth Fiction. Students can preview some of them on this blog. Now, I am also on the lookout for great new releases for my grandson Archie.

The Little Book of Calm by Paul Wilson

I have always wanted to read this little book after seeing a very funny episode of Black Books where an extremely stressed-out Manny Bianco rushes into the store to buy The Little Book of Calm. Well, here it is now in our little class library. You can try it out for yourself to see if it calms you down. Let me know, maybe it could be good for behaviour management ;P
I particularly like this tip:
DECLARE TODAY A HOLIDAY
Imagine every day is a holiday. Do one little thing that simulates this holiday mood each day, then watch your worries fade away.
Now you can do this or just hang out for the next public holiday. Happy and calm reading.
